What we offer

Social and emotional competence of individuals

TalkiT – a computer-based profiling tool

A self-report questionnaire compiled from student’s perceptions of being effective is installed on a school’s intranet. Students profile themselves and / or other people profile them to produce print outs which can be used as part of individual support work with students or whole class in PSHE & Citizenship to:

  • focus on developmental needs
  • diagnose and address contributors to poor motivation and engagement with school target interventions
  • track progress
  • enable students to become more effective in school

Outputs from TaLKIT

An individual bar graph printout can be used by students and teachers in small groups or as part of individual personal development plan or learning interviews

A polar plot can also be produced to provide a more holistic view of the individual. When other people fill in the questionnaire, several plots appear on the same graph to give the student some feedback on how other people perceive him or her.
