Research

We aim to ensure that all our work is founded on soundly researched principles which have been tried and tested in practice.

The emotional literacy framework used throughout our work is based on doctoral research with over 90 young people between the ages of 11 and 14. It has subsequently been confirmed by similar research with 17 and 18 year olds.

The method of inquiry was based on Kelly’s Personal Construct Psychology and repertory grid.


There was remarkable consistency of perception across the age range and between schools in relation to student’s perception of factors needed to do well in school.
